Please note that we are not affiliated with Pickett State Forest or any governmental agency and are not responsible for the upkeep or access to any of the Tennessee State Forest trails. The trails on the Tennessee side are open. In early 2025 Tennessee State Forest has designed 2 new trails, Yellow Doors Road and Redmond Rim Road which are open seasonally from March 15th to December 20th. Additionally, Pickett State Park which is 1 mile down the block offers swimming, kayak and canoe rentals or bring your own kayak or canoe, as well as fishing. Pickett State Forest also offers star gazing just up the block and has 2 EV charging stations located there as well. Please note Tennessee State Forest offers motorized (ATV, UTV, SXS, and 4x4s) operation on designated trails only during daylight hours. Please be aware that any trail may close at any time and duration for maintenance. This is beyond our control.
